Edina Pop

You can’t pose Edina Pop in any special corner of the show-biz! Starting in the early 70s with hits such as “Casatchok”, “Tomatenrote Lippen”, “Komm, komm zu mir” or “Carneval Brazil”, classics of Deutscher Schlager, she impressed a whole generation. She got known worldwide with the “Grand Prix Eurovision de la Chanson” Band “Dschinghis Khan” and the songs of this era are nowadays as actual as they’ve been back in the 80s.

And still today all the colours of life are mirrored in her songs. Being funny and frivol at this moment, she becomes critical in the next one just to be romantic and calm in the next blink of an eye. She is always changing and on the search of new ideas and influences.

And this is why you find plenty of different songs out of different kinds of music: Pop, Rock, Folk, Deutscher Schlager as well as Spirituals and Gospels, Swing or Jazz. She performs hits such as “I Am What I Am”, “I Want To Break Free”, “Proud Mary”, “Unchain My Heart” and “Memory” from the famouse Broadway Musical “Cats”
